How enrolling works
Tell us who it's for
Enrolling yourself takes you straight to your own details. Parents and guardians get a form that captures both their information and the student's.
Choose how you pay
Pay the full $494 + HST upfront, or start the theory today for $49 + HST and pay for the in-car hours when you're ready. Ontario HST is added at checkout — there are no other fees.
Start the same day
The 30 hours of coursework open as soon as your payment clears, so you can begin immediately and schedule your in-car sessions around school, work or shift patterns.

Enrolment questions
Who can enrol in the BDE course?
Anyone eligible to hold an Ontario G1 licence. The course is built for beginner drivers — typically teens and young adults — and for newcomers converting a foreign licence. A parent or guardian can enrol a student on their behalf using the same form.
Do I need my G1 before I start?
You can begin the 30 hours of online coursework right away. You need a valid G1 licence before your in-car lessons, since those take place on the road with an MTO-certified instructor.
What does it cost, and what's the $49 option?
The full course is $494 + HST, against $650–$2,239 at other Ontario schools for the identical certificate. If you'd rather not commit upfront, $49 + HST starts the theory today and you pay for the in-car hours later — the total is the same either way.
Is this the same certificate as a big driving school?
Yes. Drivisa delivers the official MTO-approved Beginner Driver Education program, so you earn the exact same government-recognised certificate. It lets you take your G2 road test up to four months sooner and qualifies you for insurance discounts.
How long do I have to finish?
Your registration is valid for one year, which is the MTO's requirement. Most students finish in 2–3 months; the minimum is about 2 weeks, since the online hours are capped at 5 a day.
Can I switch from enrolling myself to enrolling someone else?
Yes — nothing is locked in until payment. Both paths start from this page, so you can go back and choose the other one at any point.
